Christopher J. Anderson Joins Dysart Taylor

Dysart Taylor Cotter McMonigle & Montemore, P.C., is pleased to announce that Christopher J. Anderson joined our firm in May 2016.

Chris’ practice focuses on estate planning, taxation, and corporate matters for family-owned businesses of all sizes and across multiple industries. The businesses he serves include well-established companies as well as startups. He often serves as outside general counsel for his clients and assists in strategic planning to minimize risk and taxes as well as to plan for future growth. He also focuses on business succession planning to help family businesses anticipate changes and position themselves for long-term success and to maintain wealth for generations. In addition, Chris oversees real estate projects to assist with sales, purchases, traditional financing, and leases. He is admitted to practice in Missouri and Kansas.

Chris earned a B.S. from Grinnell College, and a J.D. with distinction from the University of Iowa College of Law. He has been recognized in Best Lawyers and The Best Lawyers in America for trusts and estates. He holds a Martindale-Hubbell AV® rating, and is a Martindale-Hubbell Top Rated Lawyer®. Chris is a member of the Missouri Bar Association, the Kansas Bar Association, the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association, and the Lawyers Association of Kansas City. He is also a member and former chairman of the Kansas City Estate Planning Symposium, and is a former chairman of the Heart of America Tax Institute.

Chris is active in the community and served as a city councilman for the City of Mission Hills, KS from 2003 to 2011. He was a member of the Mission Hills Planning Commission from 1993 to 2003, and again from 2011 to the present where he currently serves as chairman. Chris is a member of the board of trustees of Country Club Congregational Church, and sits on the board of directors of Diastole – Hospital Hill, Inc.
